Portraits

"A photograph is neither taken nor seized by force. It offers itself up. It is the photo that takes you.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

The following images span the last decade and represent the careful observation of humanity through my anthropologic lens. Documenting many faces, I have come to find the camera as a tool to break down barriers and open the exploration of vulnerability throughout my journey as a visual artist. Each face comes with a story that exudes the very heartbeat of existence. Standing behind the lens as these stories unfold has always played the most prominent role throughout my career, and I cherish every second of it. As you scroll through this gallery, I hope these stories find a place of familiarity, nostalgia, or belonging to you too. Thank you.
